Certified M/WBE and SBA Women-Owned Small Business.

Founded by Ms. Abby. Forty years of nursing.

“Whatever the culture or circumstance, the need for compassion, dignity, and quality care is universal.”

Founded in 2006, FADMO Health and Homecare Agency grew from Ms. Abby’s four decades of nursing. She believed home care should be holistic, culturally sensitive and centered on human connection. For her, clinical tasks alone were never enough.

Today, that vision lives on through our trained team. It includes Registered Nurses, LPNs, home health aides, personal care aides, companions and housekeepers. Each one is chosen for skill, integrity and a genuine heart for caregiving.

Our Approach

Care That Feels Like Home, Because It Is

Ms. Abby saw that patients recover best where they feel at home. That means family nearby, a familiar place and caregivers who respect their culture. This belief still guides every visit.

First, we learn each patient's language, faith, food and daily routines. Then we match caregivers who understand them. Our Registered Nurses supervise every plan and update it as needs change.

Today we serve patients from offices in Staten Island and the Bronx. We also provide care across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and Westchester.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing a Licensed Home Care Agency in NYC: Common Questions

Is Fadmo Health a licensed home care agency?

Yes. FADMO Health and Homecare Agency Inc. is a New York State Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA). We are also certified by The Joint Commission, bonded and insured. We have served New York families since 2006.

Who founded Fadmo Health?

Abiola "Ms. Abby" Agboola, RN, founded Fadmo Health in 2006. She brought more than 40 years of nursing experience. As a result, she built the agency around holistic, culturally sensitive care.

Where are your offices?

Our offices are at 194 Targee Street, Staten Island, NY 10304, and 2574 Frisby Avenue, Bronx, NY 10461. Our care line, (718) 390-0561, answers 24/7.

Which insurance plans does Fadmo Health accept?

We work with VillageCareMAX, VNS Health, ArchCare and Anthem (formerly Empire/Amerigroup). We also accept private pay, long-term care insurance and NHTD and TBI waiver programs. Please call to confirm your specific plan.

Does Medicaid pay for home care in New York?

Yes, for people who qualify medically and financially. Most adults who need care for more than 120 days receive it through an MLTC plan. The plan approves the hours and pays the agency directly.

Does long-term care insurance cover home care?

Most policies cover care from a licensed agency once the benefit triggers are met. Since we are a NYS-licensed LHCSA, we provide the care records insurers usually request. Check your daily benefit and waiting period first.

Can we pay privately for home care?

Yes. Families often pay privately for extra hours, hospital sitters or care while Medicaid is pending. We share clear hourly rates before care starts.

What is the NHTD waiver and who may qualify?

The Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) waiver is a NY Medicaid program. It helps adults who need nursing home level care live at home instead. People 65 and older may qualify, as can adults 18 to 64 with a physical disability.

What does culturally responsive care mean at Fadmo?

We plan care around each patient's language, faith, food and daily routines. Then we match caregivers who understand them.

Do hospitals and care managers refer patients to Fadmo?

Yes. Discharge planners, MLTC care managers and physicians refer patients to us. Professionals can call (718) 390-0561 or review our home care services.

Where can families learn more about home care in NYC?

Our home care guides explain Medicaid, MLTC plans and NHTD in plain language.
